Mazda i-ACTIV® AWD uses more than 27 sensors to monitor vehicle and road conditions approximately 200 times per second. Instead of waiting for wheel slip, the system evaluates multiple inputs at once to predict when extra traction may be needed, then sends power to the appropriate wheels before instability develops.
